I asked Claude for a retrospective on the CI/CD migration he’d just shipped. The third sentence of his answer was: ‘I knew that principle and didn’t apply it.’ That’s not a sentence I expected from a coding agent. The rest of the retro reads like a tired senior engineer talking to another senior engineer at 4pm on a Friday.
